KWHA: Okedare replaces Oyeniyi as House Clerked

A former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Planning, Simeon Okedare has been appointed to replace the outgoing clerk of the Kwara State House of Assembly, National Pilot can reliably report.

Okedare, according to checks by this medium, will take over from the outgoing clerk, Mr Oyetunde Oyeniyi, who retired after the mandatory 35 years of service.

A letter from the office of the governor, it was furthered learnt, was forwarded on Tuesday to the House directing the new clerk to resume immediately.

Okedare is expected to resume office today.

Until his appointment, Okedare was the Permanent Secretary in the state’s Ministry of Planning and Economic Development. Before then, he was a Director in the state’s Assembly and served as the Secretary, House Committee on Works and Transport during the tenure of Bio Ibrahim.

“Okedare has been appointed by the governor to replace Oyeniyi and his letter has been forwarded to the House to that effect since Tuesday directing him to resume immediately.

“He is expected to resume today” a lawmaker confirmed to this medium yesterday.
