Truck veers off Lagos Bridge, lands on cars

…crushes couple, others to death

Tragedy struck on Wednesday in Ojuelegba, Lagos State as a trailer (Truck) plying the popular Ojuelegba Bridge veered off , landed on cars and crushed a couple and others to death.

Though the number of the causalities could not be ascertained at the press time, it was gathered that the incident occurred around 4.45pm.

It was also gathered that the occupants of a white Nissan car and black SUV Jeep among who were couple were killed in the incident.

According to an eyewitness account, the dead were trapped in the incident until they breathed their last air.

The development, however, led to a heavy gridlock on the Midland Bridge.
