Rwandese club SC Kiyovu have fired Nigerian coach, Samuel Amamba, after three days because he could not produce the original copy of his credentials.

Kiyovu's secretary general, Elie Manirarora, revealed that the club had terminated Amamba's contract after he failed to submit the original copy of the CAF B coaching license which he claimed to have obtained from Nigeria.

“He gave us a photocopy of his documents and we asked him to bring the original copies but he failed which proved he might have forged the papers, so we terminated the contract,” Manirarora confirmed.

The Mumena-based club announced on Wednesday that they appointed Amamba as the team's head coach on a year's contract until the end of the season, which is scheduled to get underway on September 18.

Manirarora noted that the club were in no hurry to replace Amamba heading into the Agaciro pre-season tournament without a head coach, although he revealed they are in talks with four other candidates but without giving too much away in terms of their identities.
