Saraki appoints Makanjuola Deputy Chief of Staff

The President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki has appointed Hon Gbenga Makanjuola as his Deputy Chief of Staff.

Makanjuola's appointment will bring to seven, aides of the Senate President that have been announced since the inauguration of the senate on June 9.

Hon Makanjuola, its Chief of Staff, Senator Isa Galaudu, Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Yusuf Olaniyonu and Special Assistant on New Media, Bankole Omisore were among the five appointments announced by the office of the Senate President Penultimate week.

It would be recalled that Saraki, last week, also announced the appointment of Mr Muhammed Isah and Ibrahim El-Sudi as Special Assistant on Public Affairs and Special Adviser on Legal Matters, respectively.

Makanjuola, who hails from Omu-Aran in Kwara State, was a two-term member of the House of Representatives for Oke-Ero/Isin/Irepodun/Ekiti Federal Constituency.

He was chairman, House Committee on Agriculture during the 5th and 6th Legislative Assembly and has represented Saraki in many fora prior his election as President of the senate.

He has since resumed duty.
