Confusion over corpse found at Offa Garage

Residents of Offa Garage, Ilorin, Kwara State, on Saturday woke up to discover a corpse at the junction of Jimba Street in the area.
Though, there were conflicting reports on the cause of his death, the body could also not be identified by anybody around as at the time of filing this report.
Also, a source in the area, who pleaded anonymity told Pilot Crime that she sighted the corpse on her way to the popular Ganmo market.
According to her, “I have been living in this area for a very long time now and have never seen a thing like this before, I was on my way to Ganmo market around 7am on Saturday, when I sighted a man lying flat on the floor, it was so obvious that he's dead”
"I saw things like ritual materials like kolanuts, palm oil and also dry gin around him. Many people suggested that the man might have been used for ritual”
Another report had it that the deceased might have taken too much alcohol which later resulted to his death.
The police attached to Ganmo Division were said to have carried the corpse from the scene.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ajayi Okasanmi said is not aware of the incident.
“I'm not aware of the incident, I have been trying to reach the DPO attached to the area but the number is not reachable”, he said.
