Over one thousand applicants on Friday besieged the telecommunication giant office, MTN in Ilorin, Kwara State for job interview where 50 people would be selected among the job seekers.
The exercise, which was conducted at an Event Centre along Offa road, witnessed the interviewers storming the venue from various parts of the state and even from the other neighbouring states. While the exercise lasted, heavy traffic was witnessed in the area.

Findings by Pilot Business revealed that the applicants were contacted through text messages; however there were others who attended the interview despite not being communicated with by the telecommunication office.
Meanwhile, some of the applicants had faulted the selection process, accusing the interviewers of being bias and gave preferential treatment to some of the interviewees.
Also, it was gathered that due to the mammoth crowd witnessed at the interview, not all the applicants were eventually called for an interview.
Reacting to the exercise, an applicant, Shukurat Jimoh, faulted the entire process, alleging that the interviewers were biased and did not give room for all the applicants to be interviewed.
Jimoh added, "Some of us received text messages for this interview while others got the information from friends that they could also participate in the exercise. But I must say that many of the applicants were not satisfied with the way the interview was conducted.
"We expect that as a reputable organisation, it would have been better if it was centralised given the high number of applicants expected here.
"As it is now, our fate hangs in the balance even for some of us that personally received text messages".
However, when our reporter contacted the office for its reaction to the allegation, the recruitment officials declined comment.
