Senate President appoints two more aides

The President of the Senate and Chairman of the National Assembly, Senator. Bukola Saraki yesterday announced the appointment of two more aides, to take the numbers of his appointees since his election on June 9th to 7.
A statement made available to this medium last night, Saraki's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu, said the Senate President has approved the appointment of Mr. Mohammed Isah as Special Assistant on Public Affairs and Mr. Ibrahim El-Sudi as Special Adviser on Legal Matters.

It would be recalled that Saraki has since his emergence as the Senate president announced the appointment of a Chief of Staff in person of Senator Isa Galaudu, Special Adiver Media and publicity Yusuf Olaniyonu, Bankola Omisore Special Assistant new media, Okocha Nchonu Chief Press Secretary, Hon. Peter Makanjuola as the Deputy Chief of Staff.
Olaniyonu said "El-Sudi comes to the job with a great wealth of experience, having started his career as a legal practitioner in Kano in 1990".
He added that the new aide had also served as Special Adviser on Legal and Legislative Matters to the former governor of Taraba State between 2002 and 2003 and was later appointed Secretary to the State Government in 2007.
El-Sudi, according to Olaniyonu, was again appointed the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Taraba State in 2009 and later elected as a member of the 7th House of Representatives.
He said Isah, "on the other hand, was former Senior Special Assistant on Print Media to ex-Speaker, House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
Saraki, with the latest appointments, now have seven political appointees, having appointed five about a month ago.
