*Dream Team picks Olympic ticket
Nigeria has qualified for the African U-23 Championship in Senegal after holding Congo to a 0-0 draw in the return leg of their qualifier in Pointe Noire.
Needing to avoid losing by 1-0 or a heavy defeat, the U-23 Eagles held their hosts to a draw to end the tie 2-1 on aggregate.
In the first leg played two weeks ago in Port Harcourt, Junior Ajayi got a brace for Nigeria while Moise Nkounkou got Congo only goal.
The African U-23 Championship will serve as the qualifier for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
At the last edition in Morocco, the U-23 Eagles crashed out in the group stage, when the team was led by Austin Eguavoen.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria national women's team, the Super Falcons are out of the race for qualification for Rio 2016 Olympic Games after they lost 2-1to Equatorial Guinea on Sunday in Bata.
Having failed to make the most of their home advantage in the first leg two weeks ago in Abuja where they only managed a 1-1 draw, Sunday's 2-1 defeat meant the Nigerian Ladies were edged out on a 3-2 aggregate score line.
Ngozi Okob in the 20th minute had initially put Nigeria in the lead in Sunday's away game but the Equatorial Guineans rallied up for two late goals which has help kept their hopes for Olympic qualification on course as they now face South Africa.
The Super Falcons will be watching from the sidelines same way they did during the London Olympics.
