Gov Ahmed seeks KWHA’s nod to appoint 10 Special Advisers

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has written the State House of Assembly seeking its approval for the appointment of ten Special Advisers, National Pilot yesterday gathered.

The move, it was gathered, was in fulfilment for the constitutional requirement of the governor before making the appointment.

The House which had adjourned since June 25, is reconvening tomorrow (Tuesday) after its Ramadan recess.

According to a highly placed House source, the letter of the Governor which has since been forwarded to the House, is expected to form the major issue of deliberation during the resumed sitting on Tuesday.

“Yes I can confirm to you that the Governor has written to the House seeking its consideration and approval to appoint ten special advisers and that is expected to form the major thrust of deliberations at the plenary on Tuesday.

“The Governor’s action is in keeping with the constitutional requirement before such appointment can be made”, the source added.

Meanwhile, The Deputy Speaker, Hon Matthew Okedare representing Moro constituency may preside over the plenary on Tuesday.

The Speaker, Hon Ali Ahmad, it was gathered, is presently in Abuja to attend the Northern Speakers Conference and All Speakers Conference scheduled to hold this week.
