Police arrest suspected cultists during initiation

The Kwara State Police Command has arrested three suspected "Eiye" Confraternity cult members while trying to initiate some potential members at Oke-Oyi area of the State last week.

Pilot Crime gathered that the suspects were rounded up by the police when they were hinted by some concerned community members that some people were being forcefully initiated by some suspected cult members.

When contacted, the Spokesperson of Kwara Police Command, Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the arrest of some suspected cult members.

"On intelligence report and in synergy with some concerned members of Oke-Oyi community Ilorin, three male suspected Eiye confraternity members were rounded up while forcefully initiating some potential members".

"The identities of the cultists are under wrap to prevent the remaining members from escaping, efforts are still on to arrest other members".

"Items recovered include Axe, VCD plates capturing the activities of the group. Eiye cult relics and Criminal charms".
