Baboko residents nab suspected robber

The residents of Baboko area of Ilorin metropolis has apprehended a suspected robber, who allegedly robbed the Ilorin West Local Government Complex on Tuesday.
The 23 year old suspected robber claimed his name is Fatah Aremu.
National Pilot gathered that two suspected robbers went for the robbery operation at the complex around 1.30 am before one of them was apprehended.

An eye witness identified as Alfa Kola, said he was on his way to his house when he and two of his friends saw that some people were burgling a shop at the complex.
"I and two of my friends were coming from the mosque at night around 1.30 am on Tuesday, though we never
knew they were robbers, not until we discovered that those inside the shops were parking some of the wares in the shop"
"We hid somewhere to have a closer look, we don't know the owner of the shop but I could see that those guys in the shop were parking clothing materials, I have a friend too who sells at the complex, so we quickly called the guy to alert him of what was happening"
"He quickly called some of the shop owners in the complex and some came and we all attacked the suspected robbers who were bulging the shop".
"We were able to get one down because the other one was carrying a gun, all the wares packed were recovered from him".
He further said that one of the suspected robbers caught was handed over to the Police at C division but the one who is at large went with the sum of N65,000.
The owner of the shop bulged, Mrs. Omobolanle Orisankoko said that she was happy and also thankful to the people who helped her in apprehending the robbers and preventing them from going away with her wares.
"I thank God and also thank the residents of Baboko for helping me when the robbers came to rob my shop, in fact my goods were saved from being taken away but the Sum of N64,000 was taken away
