Sanni, Maigidansanma celebrates away win

Kwara United head coach, Tunde Sanni and general manager, Haruna Maigidansanma have expressed delight at the side first three points on the road.

Kwara United on Wednesday at the Rojenny Stadium in Oba defeated hosts and newcomers, FC Ifeanyiubah 2-1 in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match day 18 clash.

The Ilorin-based side came from a goal down to score twice through Bobga Sambo and Ismaila Gata which rubbished the Nnewi outfit match opener by Okereke Maduabuchi.

Sanni said all glory must go to God as he praised his wards for playing to instructions.

“Yes, the players wholly listened to instructions in today's (Wednesday) game and that paid off.

“I'm confident we can turn things around in the next few weeks,” Sanni said to supersport.com.

Maigidansanma who could not hide his joy gave God the glory and expressed the hope his players can build on the away victory.

“I have always believed in these guys and I am happy they have not let me down today (Wednesday).

“We will go back home and plan how to win Giwa FC because we do not want to over celebrate this victory because Sunday is around the corner,” said Maigidansanma.

The Harmony Boys' first away win of the season after an away draw at Dolphins and Wikki Tourist takes their total points to 19 from possible 54 though with a match at hand against Warri Wolves.

Kwara United will host Giwa FC on Sunday in NPFL match day 19 at the Kwara State Stadium in llorin to end the first stanza of the ongoing season.
