The duo, I am talking about Alhaji Jimoh Adesina, the Senatorial Chairman of Kwara Central of All Progressives Congress (APC) and his counterpart in Kwara North, Alhaji Isiaka Oniwa, are two political juggernauts in the state that compensated for their lack of grounded conventional education by rising to be two seasoned grassroots politicians. In one of his interviews, Adesina refereed to this seeming “shortcoming” as one of his greatest assets, saying he is not a politician that is concerned about carrying files about or bothered with meeting the finesse of political office but proud to be a core grassroots politician.

However, the ongoing jostle for political position regarding the purported directive by the APC Leader for local government caucuses to rejig their list of nominated candidates has reportedly pitched Oniwa with some members of his constituency, who stormed the GRA office of the party secretariat on Tuesday under the guise of “Concerned Elders”.
What was their complaint?
“We are going to resist this imposition and domination no matter the cause this time around. We have kept silent for too long on his excesses in Moro. We kept quiet when he foisted his son on us as one of the local government officers and now that the Leader has given us a lifeline, he has submitted his wife’s name, who is a serving civil servant for the post of commissioner in Moro.
It seems Oniwa and Adesina have a lot in common really. While Adesina's daughter name is reportedly missing from the list of nominated commissioners in Asa, Oniwa's wife name is surfacing for the position in Moro. A tale of two leaders you may want to say.
