Saraki, who is also a former Firstlady of Kwara State, in statement by her office, entitled: ''Warning and Disclaimer of False / Impostor Pages on Facebook and Linkedin'', said she had contacted facebook and Linkedin to remove the fake accounts.

The statement reads: '' It has, unfortunately, been brought to the attention of this office, that unknown impostors have created, and are using, false impostor pages on Facebook and LinkedIn, fraudulently impersonating the person of H.E., Mrs. Toyin Saraki and/or purporting themselves to be Mrs. Toyin Saraki.

''We have taken steps to formally alert both Facebook and LinkedIn to effect the removal of these false and fraudulent impostor pages promptly, and issue this warning to all whom it may concern, that any solicitations from these fraudulent pages should be rejected and reported to the appropriate agencies.

''Fraudulent pages detected so far are listed as: http://linkd.in/1f8dXIy, http://linkd.in/1geI8Oj. For the avoidance of any doubt, Mrs. Toyin Saraki is, and remains a private citizen, as can be seen from her authentic pages, linked as: http://on.fb.me/1HAUhHC, http://bit.ly/1JCosQQ, http://linkd.in/1LHZn6D''.
