Bad network and inadequate power supply in recent time has forced many branches of the National Identity Management Commission offices in Kwara State to stop operation, Pilot Business can report.
However, the situation has put some citizens who are bent on beating the deadline set by the commission under immense pressure to register and get their National Identification Number (NIN).

It would be recalled that the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has set 1st September, 2015 as commencement date in which all transactions involving the identification of individuals must be done with the National Identification Number (NIN).
Investigations by Pilot Business revealed that the agency has since ceased operations in their different branches in the state.
It was gathered that the enrolment centre at the Federal Secretariat, Fate, Ilorin as well as another branch located in the Moro Local Government Secretariat last operated two months ago due to bad network, poor power supply and lack of fund to power their generating sets.
However, the only functioning branch along Asa Dam road opposite Dangote Flour Mills, Ilorin has also stopped operation since Friday 27th of June 2015.
Speaking with Pilot Business last Friday, Mr Kolawole Adeniji, who lamented the situation said he has tried all the branches in the state capital but could not get enrolled.
"We want to register in order to get our National Identity Number before the September 1st deadline as directed by NIMC management, but all our efforts so far have proved abortive because these people are complaining of not having the facilities to do the job”, he said.
Reacting, a staff who did not want his name in print, regretted the situation, noting that they are ready to work and render services to the people but they are helpless.
Meanwhile, all efforts to speak with any top officials of the management proved abortive as the gate was not open to any other person except the staffs.
