Ex-Bauchi Govt officials sue Abubakar, Recovery C’ttee

35 immediate past officials of Bauchi State government that served under former governor, Mallam Isa Yuguda have filed a fresh suit before the Bauchi Federal High Court against the State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar and the recovery committee set up by the government to recover government properties allegedly taken away by former government officials.
Other defendants in the suit included the State Attorney- General, the chairman of the recovery committee and his secretary, the State Commissioner of Police and the Director, Directorate of State Services, DSS.
A motion filed by Mukhtar Abubakar, former Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in the State asked the court to restrain the defendants from arresting and seizing the defendants’ properties or taking any action that is capable of violating the applicants’ rights pending the determination of the motion on notice.
They asked the court to restrain the respondents from taking further steps in connection to the matter pending the determination of the motion on notice.
