Why I’m streamlining ministries, political appointments – Gov Ahmed

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has explained that the streamlining of ministries and appointments to political offices is connected with the current drop in allocation and resources to run the state.

The governor, who spoke on Wednesday shortly after he returned from the first All Progressives Congress (APC) meeting with the President Mohammadu Buhari in Abuja, said: ''we need to manage the limited resource we have to do project that will have direct and positve impact on the people of the state. “As we can see some of our projects have not been worked on by contractors and this is largely due to funding but we are sure that as things are going, a lots of things will change and we will be able some of our projects will be completed and meet up with our current deficit. While speaking on the outcome of the meeting held with Buhari, Ahmed said areas of differences deficit were looked into and current status of the economy was viewed and possible solutions were suggested. " Issue of outstanding salaries were discussed and it was concluded that there will be support for state suffering from inability to pay salary.
