Fasting tips for Ramadan Eat Sahur properly at early morning while you are preparing your body to fast. Sahur is the plural of Sahri that means to eat something in the early morning before fajar prayer in order to fast entire day. The meal of Sahri is Sunnah and it's the most important meal in Ramadan. Eat food that is fully hydrated and filled with vitamins and minerals in the hot fasting day. Try to drink jucies and orange slices at Sahri, fresh yogurt, apple or orange juice and lassi in Sahri to avoid dehydration in the day time. Try to remain in the cool and shady place during the day time while fasting. Avoid direct exposure to sun and heat as it will make you thirsty and dehydrated Don't let yourself go with the love of food while breaking the fast at the sunset. Break your fast with fresh water, fresh juices, almond milk or simple fresh and cool milk. Eat dates on breaking the fast to regain your energy. Try to stay away from oily food and eat healthy snacks such as sandwiches, salads, chana chat etc Also avoid spicy food that causes heartburn and inflammation digestive system In take as much fluid as possible to make sure that your blood fluid levels and sugar levels are up Try to intake more liquid food such as tea, coffee etc After Maghrib or after Ishai take a healthy dinner rich in leafy and watery vegetables such as spinach, lettuce, broccoli etc Add a good chunk of protein in your dinner such as chicken or fish steaks Serve a dessert of fresh fruits and nuts as it is healthier as compared to the other sugar based desserts. Go for a little walk of 15 to 20 minutes after the dinner.
