KFA’s Bribery Scandal update: Embattled Principal, VP charged students N20,000 each

Two weeks after the dismissal of two coaches, another scandal has rocked Kwara Football Academy, and may consume the Principal of the school, Alhaji Nda Aliyu Mohammed and the Vice Principal, Mr. Kingsley Adebayo. The duo were alleged of 'misconduct of receiving wrongful N20,000 from 20 students with intention of causing wrongful gain to themselves', the meant for National Examination Council (NECO) examinations without remitting the registration fees to the school account. Two weeks ago, two coaches of the Academy, Alphonsus Ezimoha and Dipo Abolarin were suspended and later sacked for allegation of demanding money from players to guarantee playing time. When contacted the Administrator of the Institution, Mutiu Adepoju, he said the Board had decided that the services of the two coaches were no longer needed, but failed to link the decision to the allegation raised. He also confirmed the latest development involving the Principal and the Vice Principal of the school, adding that the two principal officers are under investigation. The former Super Eagles player also confirmed that the duo were issued queries, and that investigations on the allegations will be concluded next week, when decisions would also be taken on them. When Pilot Sports contacted the principal and his vice, they confirmed that the school have issued them query and they have answered it but said they are not going to speak further about the incident until after the management decide their faith.
