...Our expectations from Gov Ahmed's govt----Kwara residents

Kwara residents on Sunday set agenda for the state’s Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, 48 hours after his second term inauguration.

Some of the state’s residents, who spoke in separate interviews our reporter, tasked him to make their welfare his topmost priority. A Civil Servant, Akanbi Moses, said the state needs an improved security network, adding ’’ we are really expecting a lot from Governor Ahmed. What is causing fracas in Ilorin should be tackled". Another Civil Servant, Musiliu Ishola said: “We are hoping that the issue of power and water supply will be tackled by Governor Ahmed. This new government should please look into all market areas because, there is no packing space in any of the market in Ilorin metropolis. To an unemployed Graduate, Mustapha Ajagbe, the governor should make employment his cardinal project, arguing that once is tacked, the issue of robbery, kidnapping and other crimes will be curbed in the state. A Retiree, Adeola Adedo said:" Rural roads should be reconstructed for the betterment of the people living in the community. Also, hospitals in the rural communities should be provided with enough personnel in order to get good treatment for the less privileged". A secondary school Teacher, Mrs Ademola Sunday, on her part pleaded with the new government to provide good textbooks and stationeries for the students across the state.
