ONE ARRESTED OVER CAR SNATCHING AT OLOJE

One Olalekan Ishola has been arrested for allegedly snatcheing a car around Oloje area of Ilorin, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State.
A police source told National Pilot on Wednesday that Ishola confessed to be the brain behind car snatching incidents along the area.
Another source, who craved anonymity, said Ishola had snatched about six cars over three weeks.
According to the source, "Ishola was able to take the police to the people he sold the cars to for recovery".
However, it was gathered that the issue of car snatching has become a rampant issue at Oloje area.
It was further gathered that about fourteen patrol vehicles were seen at Oloje and Adewole raiding the areas as a result of the reports received on car snatching.
When contacted for confirmation, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kwara State Command, Ajayi Okasanmi in a telephone chat with National Pilot denied the development, saying that he was not aware of the incident as well as the arrest made.
“I have not heard anything related to the matter”, he said.
